A novel based on the ITV series which depicts life in the children's ward at South Park Hospital. Charge Nurse Dave Spencer runs the ward and is liked by the children. Dr. Charlotte Woods is a newcomer and she and Dave don't see eye-to-eye.
When a joyrider gang steal a car, they have little idea of the terrible consequences that will follow. It is left to the staff of the Children's Ward to pick up the pieces. The doctors and nurses have to treat the joyriders and their victims.
