In the year 2040, the former USA is a patchwork of smaller sovereign states. The northeast and Great Lakes states are controlled by US Incorporated, wherein citizens are controlled by implants called Derms. A variety of characters work to limit the mind control aspects of the Derms via rock and roll music and electronic wizardry.
