Violet's father, Monty, has always been selfish and mean-spirited. When he angers the Settlement's wisewoman one too many times with his treatment of Violet, there's a price to be paid. Aided by her trio of clever squirrels, Wisewoman Rue decides, for the good of the settlement, to find a permanent solution to the problem of Monty.
