Secret Rivers

Secret Rivers is a series of interconnected persona poems in which each speaker is a driver or passenger on the same stretch of highway in Ohio. Fracking (and questions surrounding it) is one central theme because the area the speakers are traveling through is an important one for this practice of injecting water, sand, and chemicals into the earth to extract oil and natural gas.
