Ujaruk has spent a lifetime overcoming societal prejudices and misperceptions about his Aleutian heritage. When his job as an archeologist sends him to work on an abandoned mine project, taking him back to the home he left long ago, he realizes it’s time to make peace with his roots.
Thrown together by work, and proximity in the beauty and isolation of the Denali National Park, Anders and Ujaruk form an unexpected connection, but is it just a bond of convenience, or can it be more? When man and nature collide, will their new relationship stand the test?
