In a small fishing village on the River Crane, every child is told the same story by their parents: stay out of the red forest that borders their fields, for there are dangerous and deadly forces that reside within. No one who ever goes into the red forest ever comes out. Despite these warnings, on the night of Samhain, five young men decide to enter the forest to see for themselves with the hope of proving the stories wrong.
Once beyond the tree line, it does not take long for them to realize that the stories weren't meant to just scare them. They were based on horrible, bloody truths.
