Vivian Anderson is an Interior decorator residing in Manhattan. Her whole life revolves around her career. She doesn't go out much and she rarely has a Saturday off. When she does take a day to relax she usually winds up spending it with relatives. For someone who lives in the city that never sleeps and who is surrounded by fame and fortune, her life is rather droll. She doesn't date much because of her career. She met a few men through her family and friends but they turn out to be duds. Her whole life changes when she meets Robert Taylor. After being locked into her own small world, she finally emerges with the help of her career that previously was hindering her. Robert is similar to Vivian yet with the opposite affliction. If only he could simmer his social life down. He wants to be in his own little world. He wants to be inconspicuous. He lives in Garden City because it is far from the fame and fortune of Manhattan. He commutes to his job at CBS because he wants to hold on to his identity. His career has swallowed him up and catapulted him into a realm he never wanted to exist in. He can't have a decent relationship because of it. When the two meet it isn't exactly love at first sight. She thinks she knows what his problem is and he has her all figured out. Finally after analyzing and dissecting each other, they can't ignore the chemistry any longer.
Author Biography: The author was born in Scotland Neck, NC in her grandmother's house. Ms. Williams later moved to Uniondale, NY to live with her mother, stepfather and brothers. During her elementary education, she started writing fiction to escape her home life. She yearned for the comfort of her grandparent's home andwrote stories about country living and children growing up in broken homes. When in Elementary School, she was often noted for her creative abilities and her art of story telling. Ms. Williams attended the University of Connecticut where she received a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1992. It wasn't until she became successful in the business world that she realized she could make her dream come true. Ms. Williams now resides in North Carolina with her son. The author is currently working on three new novels The Serpent Beguiled Me and I Did Eat, Southern Fried Crazy, and WindSong.
